What is Hornists for Heroes? "It has become the new tradition to thank healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic by opening one’s door and making noise at 7:00 every evening. James Naigus was commissioned by Heidi Oros to compose “Lionheart’s Call” for horn, or natural horn, or alphorn so that horn players can have a special piece to pay tribute to these special heroes. Join the horn community in honoring these heroes by performing the premiere of this work all over the world."
