Three Shades
In my opinion, one of the best abilities of the horn is to express a variety of musical colors and/or timbres. This piece consists of three contrasting movements that highlight this ability. The titles of each movement are left open for the listener to decide! Written for the 2013 Southeast Horn Workshop in Richmond, VA.
