Long I Stood, originally for horn octet, was later arranged for brass quintet by the composer. The piece gained further interest by Carlos Franco, who initiated the idea of a new arrangement of the work for band/wind ensemble.

The work deals with concepts of loss, remembrance, and through it all, beauty.

Jacob Evarts, award-winning composer of concert and media music, will be taking Naigus' original music and creating a new arrangement for wind ensemble.
